Luckily that wasn't too confusing. I found where I was supposed to be and made some awesome friends automatically.
The food isn't as bad as I was expecting...not good by any means. But, not terrible. Tuesday night everyone went to a bar on campus and we all played trivia...and didn't win. But whatever, it was rigged. We totally should have won. However, after trivia, the real fun began. A few friends decided to go to City Center and check it out. Turns out, it was "fresher's week" for the med students...which basically means a huge party with costumes and free drinks. We got there at about 9:30-10 and 90% of the people there were completely smashed...but they looked fantastic doing it!
I should probably explain what it's like to party in England. lol Drinks are cheap...and it's ok to be openly drunk in the middle of the street...that being said. I saw at least 2 men in man thongs and bow ties, people playing twister in the middle of the road, disgustingly drunk people joking around with police officers, and maybe a couple or 2 fornicating on the sidewalk...it was quite the sight...everyone should do it at least once.
